*Making Books by Hand: An Apprentice’s View* by Brittany De Nigris and Robin Price is an educational exhibit that documents Brittany’s experience of a year-long apprenticeship with Robin in letterpress printing, publishing artists’ books, and the process of making books by hand. Taking place within a daily studio practice, augmented with conferences and artists’ books fairs, this alternative education has been an evolving conversation of material, method, and the creation of meaning. The exhibition includes in-process photographs, writings, trials and production notes along with the completed work.
