In today’s setting, there are many underlying elements of today’s culture that are ignored including, unawareness of our surroundings and the positive and negative instances that occur every day.

There have been many occurrences that effected my outlook on the world. Observating our affects on our environment, society, and ecosystem; whats occurring right in front of us. The good and the bad, the  beautiful and the ugly.  These are key elements and the basis of my art.  Keeping the viewers eye’s wide open to the realities occuring around us. The importance of self-awareness, how the ever evolving culture, environment, and media of the world has affected who we are today.  Through my artwork I hope to express my outlook on the events in life that I wish to cement.  These present moments that quickly fade away or that are easily ignored.

Today, where consumption and production are served by ecosystems around the world, and where individuals, businesses and governments touch upon everything, many aspects of what existed in life are lost.  Our current consumption lies behind our want of material objects where simple pleasures are neglected and forgotten.  Through art I hope to expose what is occurring around us, to remind us of what is meant to be embraced and lived.  Not to forget our past, our traditions, culture, heritage, to breath and enjoy our senses and to be grateful for every moment.
