Wing Chun Study Group

Every Monday, 6-7pm, $8/Class 5$ for students

Wing Chun is a Chinese martial art based on the ying/ yang and Taoism whose techniques emphasize practicality and efficiency to maintain its ideals on effectiveness. Training in Wing Chun aims at becoming one with the ever-expanding awareness of what is. Bring mat & wear loose clothing.

The World’s a stage … the mic is OPEN!

This Open Mic is for YOU – the budding artist. Showcase your talents, nurture them with this supportive group. Recite a poem, sing a song, dance, read some spoken word, the microphone is yours for the asking. Community spirit prevails.

We have congas and a piano or BYO instrument. Ends around 9:30 – 10.

Refreshments available.

Open Mic Night with WESU 88.1

WESU 88.1 is hosting an open mic night at The Buttonwood Tree every first Monday of the month, starting October 3rd.

Some performers from Middletown’s favorite non-commercial radio station will bring their songs and poetry to the stage but anyone is welcome to sign up and perform. There is a piano, or bring your own instrument.

Kundalini yoga has been called “the fastest acting” yoga as it targets the glandular system to improve the whole body.

Come relax, breathe, meditate, and have fun in a warm group setting while stretching, strengthening, and energizing. No experience is needed and all are welcome. Wear loose clothing and bring a mat, cozy blanket, and water. (water available at TBT $1.) Please do not wear fragrances to class.
