For the first Thursday of March, join host John Scott for our Live Acoustic Open Mic. Open to all acoustic singer-songwriters looking to test out their material in front of a friendly crowd.

Bob Gotta started this open mic in 1997, and has scarcely missed a week. This mic boasts a seemless rotation of experienced hosts.

This program is offered to assist you in bringing more joy and greater health into your life. Our time together will consist of gentle stretching, simple qigong movements and a guided meditation led by David Schroeder and laughter exercises led by Anne-Marie McEwen.

This recurring event will be held on 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month both in person and on ZOOM. Click here for the zoom link. (Passcode 921640).

Laughter or hasna yoga is an intentional exercise involving movement and yogic breathing exercises (pranayama) to promote voluntary laughter over a prolonged period. No jokes are necessary here. Laughter can be faked, and the human body and mind do not know it is simulated. This type of yoga is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides similar physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. It is usually done in groups, with eye contact and much playfulness between participants. Intentional laughter often turns into real and contagious laughter. It involves breathing exercises that aim to cultivate joy, bring out your inner child, and help you let go of daily life stressors.

Beginners and seasoned drummers are all welcome. Bring a drum or there are a few to lend. If you come and have an extra one all the better!
