We rely on volunteers, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions from the following organizations. A majority of the grants we receive are matching grants, meaning that your donations make a huge difference.

Letter From Caitlin Duffy, Buttonwood Tree Board President

I am reaching out to you with an appeal on behalf of The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center. Your support bolsters our mission: to uplift, inspire, educate, and enrich lives through artistic and cultural programming, supporting the creative endeavors of emerging and established artists.

Over the years, we have sustained Susan and Stephan Allison’s dream for the Buttonwood Tree. It is a safe space for people from diverse backgrounds, walks of life, and physical or intellectual abilities. Core repeating programs such as Open Mic and Wellness Events have never missed the mark, and Friday and Saturday nights are rife with cutting-edge musical talent. These are just some of the staple events that ensure The Buttonwood Tree thrives.

We believe that anyone who steps into The Buttonwood Tree leaves inspired, and we aim to continue this legacy. Our priority is to enrich the community that expands beyond Middletown’s North End borders.

Please consider making a donation, large or small—your gift is important to us! Here are a just a few ways your contribution can make a difference:

  • Program Development: Your support will enable us to better curate an array of shows and workshops.

  • Facility Improvements: We aim to enhance our venue to better accommodate artists and patrons.

  • Community: Every contribution sustains our mission and ensures the vitality of The Buttonwood Tree, and will help foster a community where creativity thrives.

  • Outreach: Your support will help us augment our outreach efforts. We would love to do a winter clothing, canned food, or school supply drive.

Thank you for considering a donation to The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center. Your generosity will have an indelible impact on our community and the  individuals who benefit from our programs. A donation can be made by check, to the order of The Buttonwood Tree, mailed to P.O. Box 71, Middletown, CT 06457. You can also make an online donation by following the Donate link on the bottom of our web page.

With deepest gratitude,
