The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center has long benefited from its central location on Main St. in a former hotel.
The large plate glass windows situated on a street corner make us visible and welcoming; passersby can see activity and feel like they are always possible viewers. The historic setting with its brick walls and period details add to our distinctive feel as a place rooted in New England’s long history of small town cultural activity. Main Street parking was somewhat difficult in the past, but we now have 40 spaces around the corner which help us deal with that perennial issue for old business districts that predate the automobile. Our grand piano draws for music performers who are too often forced to import a keyboard to play.
